This project entailed a complete renovation of a 19th Century row house. The house has been stripped-out inside, creating an open plan main floor. Fitted furniture including window seats has been used to make the most of the limited available space. The house opens up to the garden through a series of stepping volumes, each topped by a timber deck. This relationship with the garden and its mature tree is important in framing enjoyable views and “anchoring” the house.
Construction was completed in 2016.
