Our refurbishment and extension of Darwen Town & Market Hall has been granted planning consent. The project is part of a wider £100m investment in the town, led by Blackburn with Darwen Council and supported by the Darwen Town Deal Board. The scheme includes the sensitive restoration of the historic Market Hall, the replacement of a 1960s annex with a new arcade, and improvements to the adjacent car park and surrounding public realm.

The new arcade will establish a stronger pedestrian link between the Market Square and School Street. Designed to complement the surrounding built environment and echo the traditional arcade typology, this will serve as a lively threshold to the revitalised market, welcoming residents, artisans, and small businesses.
