Planning Consent

Our refurbishment of Grade II* Listed St Andrew’s Church in Hove has been granted planning consent.

The site has been a place of worship since the Norman period, and the existing church was largely rebuilt during the Victorian era. The project seeks to make the building more multi-functional, with community uses alongside worship. The consented scheme includes a new mezzanine with a sinuous geometry that flows around the impressive circular stone columns, as well as a dedicated family room and new stage. Decarbonisation measures include a new underfloor heating system driven by air-source heat pumps, while the churchyard will have increased planting to encourage biodiversity.
