Revitalising industrial heritage as a centre for young people.
Creating dedicated places for children and young people is amongst the most important tasks in activating towns and cities. Today’s renewed Youth Centres are exciting and dynamic environments full of engaging activities, while schools and institutes of higher education are essential to the future of any community. The buildings should be recognisable in the townscape, creating welcoming places young people identify as their own. We should be ambitious in the design of buildings for young people – using them to inspire the next generation.
